In India making a career and child raring has always been a challenge for women. Most of them have to leave their jobs to bring up their children. Some are lucky enough to get cooperative family members or baby sitters. The result is women who want to build up a career don't give birth to children to make a career. There are many childless couples in India now.

I think this is a general problem all over the wold, it is really challenging to raise children and still be focus in your career. This is why we now have women who would rather focus on their career first before they think of settling down.

As you grow old responsibility increases in the career front and then it becomes very difficult for a woman to even marry. In India family members expect a lot from the daughter-in-law.

It is crucial if both husband and wife works and onlly the caregiver attends to the needs of the baby. So knows of the caregiver is a bad lady.
Caregivers in India have started blackmailing the woman. Leaving the baby with the caregiver is risky these days.

Which means in india, most families would prefer their daughter in-law to just be an house wife instead of having a career.

Raising children can be challenging when you need to focus on your job. This is why many Gen Z individuals prefer to establish their careers and achieve stability before having children.
If stability means having lot of money then that can't be a career. In India if you leave your job for a few years to raise a child it very difficult to get a job after that. I am a victim of that situation.

Now the Indian men want their wives to work both at office and at home efficiently which is next to impossible.
