Your staff gets arrested for prostitution. Would you sign surety to bail that staff out?

This happened in my workplace yesterday. A colleague of mine was arrested for prostitution. And my boss has been called to stand surety for the staff's bail. And my boss has refused.

Is he being insensitive to the welfare of the staff? Would you sign surety for such a staff?

Nope, i will not be a surety for someone that did any criminal ot immoral act. Let such a person sort his or her self out and return to work

As far as it is my staff and the issue is not criminal, I would bail her out and counsel her afterwards.

I may bail put that employee but she must resign after that. She brought shame to the company. She will alsop be humiliated.

I don't judge people and I won't judge this staff b I would bail her. Have a deep conversation with her on why she indulged in such and see ways to help her. I won't sack her because of that.

To be honest am not so sure what i would do, in cases like this, how we respond in the situation might be different from what we say now.

I would send a senior representative from the company to bail the staff. Can't step there as a boss with that kind of issue.

That depends on how long the staff has been working for the company, her performance at work. If she is a good worker, I would bail her out but will have a deep talk with her.
