According to the report, Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that his forces aim to create a buffer zone in Russia's Kursk. This comes as India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi is planning to visit Ukraine later this week.

Zelensky said: “It is now our primary task in defensive operations overall: to destroy as much Russian war potential as possible and conduct maximum counteroffensive actions”. Ukraine's incursion into Russia is now entering its third week.

The report added that the Ukrainian forces are now targeting Russian bridges in the region - intending to cripple supplies and logistics.
