Zenith Bank PLC, Nigeria appoints for the first time a Female CEO

Zenith Bank Plc for the first time has announced a female as their next CEO. the foremost banker, Dr. Adaora Umeoji was announced as its new Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.

This appointment was disclosed on Tuesday, i9th of match 2024. This will take effect from June 1, 2024.“Dame (Dr) Adaora Umeoji will be the first female GMDCEO since the inception of the bank.

Before now Dr. Umeoji was the Deputy Managing Director of the bank she has about 30 years of banking experience. She is also an alumnus of Harvard Business School as well as an alumnus of Columbia Business School with a Certificate in the Global Banking Program.
