A business logo is very vital in the identity and branding of the business. However, I believe that not all businesses get it right when it comes to choosing logos for their brands. What are the common mistakes that businesses make in choosing a logo for their businesses?

I’ve seen a great business but its logo is not very appealing. One of the most common mistakes is choosing a logo with too much text or too many colors. This makes it hard to remember and doesn’t look good on different devices.

Also, some businesses choose a logo without considering their audience. A logo should convey the company’s values and appeal to their target customers. If it’s unclear or unattractive, it can lose the opportunity to build trust.

For me the most common mistakes on that area that l often see is the choosing of already taken brand names that are being used by other people or businesses,
He who is not taught by his mother is taught by the world. You have touched on a very sensitive issue regarding choosing a brand name. Many people enter the market without doing enough research, and they take a name that is already being used by others. This creates legal problems and confuses customers.

It is important to do thorough research before deciding on a name. Search the internet, check business registers, and make sure that the name is not taken. A unique name builds brand identity and brings respect in the market.

Don't be discouraged if you see a name you like already taken. The world of creativity is vast, and with a little effort you can find a better name. Build your brand on a solid and unique foundation.
