There are organizations that offer their staff very huge salaries. They even tend to overpay their staff. Some even might end up paying double the industry standard payment for such staff. For some businesses like that, money is not a problem as they have huge revenue.

Is there any negative effects to the business apart from financial that overpaying staff can cost?

overpaying staff can mess with expectations. Once people get used to unusually high pay, it’s tough to roll it back or adjust later without causing frustration. It can also make promotions or raises feel less meaningful, since the baseline is already way above average. Over time, that can hurt motivation and loyalty instead of helping it.

I've been paying my employees lot and I see problems starting to arise. When get used to high salaries, becomes difficult to cut costs without causing anger and conflict in the office. I protect business by paying according to my ability.
