Small businesses can have a customer service department, but it often looks different than what you’d find in a big corporate or mall. Big malls or corporations usually have dedicated customer service departments with specialized staff, phone lines, email support, and sometimes even physical service counters.

Small businesses may not have a formal department, but customer service is still crucial. It is often handled by the owner, designated employees, or all employees. In very small businesses, the owner is often the main point of contact. Some employees might have customer service as part of their job description. In some small businesses, everyone is responsible for providing good customer service.

Even if small businesses don't have a dedicated department, they still need to address customer inquiries, handle complaints, and provide support. They might use email, phone, social media, or in-person interactions to do so.

So while you are more likely to see a formal customer service department in a big mall or corporation, customer service is essential for businesses of all sizes. Small businesses just tend to handle it in a more flexible and personal way.

Only corporate or malls provide the customers with Customer Service Center. The small stores do not have but it's the owner who settles the matter. There's also a designated employee to answer the call or urgent need of the customers.

Small businesses do not have a Customer Service Department only in big malls and stores; however, small businesses can address the problems or complaints of the customers to the store owner or to a personnel assigned to this

In fact, all businesses, whether small or in big malls, require customer service. However, due to financial constraints, the customer service role is often held by the business owner.
Agree, it is happening here, small stores managed by the owner, and once there is a problem, it is the owner responsible to settle the matter.

That's the complexity of running a small business. Business owners must wear multiple hats, sometimes serving as customer service representatives, sometimes as accountants, marketers, etc. Small business owners also master and handle all aspects of their work.

A small business owner must be a master of everything, however, smalls stores here do not have conflict with business owners, or else, they cannot buy in credit 😁.
