For me l have been using the Nokia G20 smart phone for like four years by now. With that being said, l am very faded up with it and l have planned to upgrade it by early next year. So how long does a standard phone device should be used before an upgrade?

The lifespan of a phone depends largely on how much you use it and the updates it receives. On average, most smartphones tend to perform well for three to five years before starting to feel slow or lagging in software. Factors like battery and storage are the ones that suffer the most wear over time. If your Nokia G20 no longer meets your needs, it's a good time to consider upgrading.

A smartphone often last around two years or one and half year. It mostly depends on how you use it though. I have been using mine close to five years now.
