Online shops should take responsibility of defective products.

A few months back I purchased AGARO vaccum cleaner through Flipkart in India. Within a month it gave up. I informed the company, they agreed to replace but without allowing open box delivery which is against the rule of such products. I didn't accept that and wanted a refund which they aren't agreeing to. I am forced to file a case in the consumer forum. Shouldn't Flipkart take the responsibility of the refund if the product is defective. No electronics will sell now online. At least I won't.

When it comes to refund, most companies or online shops do not easily give out refunds. They would rather send you another product or tell you to get something else. It is only few that are quit honest with a refund policy, and even at that you would still need to wait a long while to get it.
 
Replacing defective items shows a dedication to client satisfaction. Customers are frequently upset and frustrated when they acquire a malfunctioning product. The online business can solve the issue and assure the customer's satisfaction by replacing the damaged item as soon as possible.

This company AGARO is trying to replace the product that too they would not allow me to check the product which should be in case of vaccum cleaner.
 
They have to replace the defective item. It is mandatory, but why didn't they refund your money? Did they refund your money or successfully replaced the unit? That is why I do not like online buying.

Sometimes in their policy, some products purchase could not be refunded money or even be replaced with another item means it depends on the rule set by the company.

It's better to inquire before paying if they have a refund and return policy to be sure that whenever a problem arises like defective item there's proof to show.

They want to do a replacement but without checking and in India no electronic goods purchased in store or online are delivered without checking. Online sellers have to do open box delivery. They are up to some mischief and so I will file a case in the consumer court.

Do not pay, why should you pay? In my case, I opened the parcel first before paying to the courier and if found something wrong, I returned the item right away without paying.
 
Of course, Flipkart as a seller does not want customer complaints to be published openly because it will damage their image and brand. For this reason, you should contact support personally to replace the defective goods you receive, brands generally will not return cash.

I prepaid for the product, that's the problem. They don't want to return the money now and maybe want to give me a defective product once again.

Refund will not be possible after you have used it for some time. In a business, you must consider the other side argument also and try to shift your position to reach a compromise. If the company agree to replace the product, they have tried. Flipkart should only be held responsible if you have not used the product once.

Some products are not refundable means the company states the purchase of some products is final and cannot be refunded or replaced even you have not used it.

They should allow me to check the machine when they do a replacement but they are not agreeing to it which means they are determined to cheat me.
 
This is why I don't like buying electronic online. But why wouldn't they pay or make a refund this is really bad of them
I too have decided never to buy electronic goods online.
