Why do you think we have downfalls in the internet connection on rainy days.

For instance in my country we are currently in the short rains season. So the whole of yesterday was raining cats and dogs and we there was a blackout on the internet connection despite a perfect electricity connection in my region. What do you think is the reason for that downfall?

When rain falls, it often acts as obstacles that obstructs the wave flow, hence the network gets crappy.
