There is a need to discuss debts before marriage to avoid war after marriage. If the husband or wife does not tell the debt, it will be the cause of conflict that may lead to a broken marriage. They must be honest and sincere. In discussing debt, they will come up with a plan on how to pay the debt. In case, the debt is huge, they better not marry. They have to pay their debts first. If it happens to me, I will never marry a man with debts.

This rarely happens in India. The groom invariably hides his income and debt before marriage. It happened to me too and I and my children had to suffer financial crunches. God has helped my sons to earn well in life.
