We always hear that people that can talk smoothly would always make good sales. That's true to an extent. But on the flip side, there is no way that you would be able to succeed with sales without having a good ability to listen.

A good sales person is also a very good listener.
 
Your ability to listen actually plays a very important role. Unfortunately we have so many persons who do not take out time to listen enough today.
 
It is one thing to talk and make sales, it is another thing to pay close attention to these customers so you get to know where exactly your help is needed. A good sales person doesn't just sale, he or she solves a need. That's what makes your customer sought for you over and over again.

You got it spot on. The best sales are the ones that is delivered so good as the customer wants it. And that requires rapt attention to the customer.
